THE ARGENTINE BLACK & WHITE TEGU LIZARD
The Argentine Black and White Tegu lizard is an invasive species in Florida. While they are not as prevalent as other invasive reptiles such as the green iguana or the Burmese python, they potentially pose a more serious threat due to their omnivorous diet. They eat native plants, animals, and they even burrow to eat the eggs of alligators and tortoises as the weather gets colder outside.
The goal of this poster series is to raise awareness to this lesser known invasive predator. The first poster incites interest while the second poster showcases a seminar to discuss the issue. The third poster is informational, providing facts, statistics, and visuals.
